DNA, the musical?

Writer's picture: KTSKTS

Last class we talked about how to introduce science explanations in a plot that is, for now, simple and straightforward. We feel that if we start talking about science out of the blue, it will feel out of place. Our video will not be boring, set assure, so we have been adding some humor to our script, and a bit of slapstick comedy, and ... why not musical scenes?

Yes, after discussing it a bit, and watching a fantastic scene from Oliver! (Carol Reed's 1968 movie) the girls decided that they want to burst into song and dance in the middle of whatever they are doing.

They loved that scene so much, they just wanted to "pick a pocket or two" for the rest of the class. And they did. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures.

But that's not all we did. We also talked about the fact that DNA fingerprinting can sometimes go wrong, or start wrong, if you have the wrong sample. So we decided to introduce a new character. And that's all I'll say for now.

Stay tuned! We are starting to film soon.
